Bible Study
The purpose of our Bible Study groups is to create intentional focus so men can answer the question:
How then shall I live?” and live that way.
How then shall I live?” and live that way.
Brief History
The Men's Bible Study started in Robson Ranch in the "early days" of the community for men to grow their faith and understanding of Jesus Christ.
From the first meetings on Saturday mornings over coffee and donuts with a hand-full of men, the group has grown with the community. We currently have six groups meeting on Saturday mornings, described in more detail on this website. |
Foundational Doctrine
THE BIBLE
We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life. When we say inspired and without error, we mean we believe this to be verbal, plenary, infallible, and inerrant throughout.
GOD THE FATHER
We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons:
Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
GOD THE SON
We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross as the sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He now sits as our High Priest and Advocate.
GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and during this age to convict men, regenerate the believing sinner, and indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service.
MANKIND
We believe that human beings were created in the image of God but fell into sin and are therefore lost. Only through personal faith in Jesus Christ and regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.
SUBSTITUTIONARY DEATH OF CHRIST
We believe that the substitutionary death of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus Christ through faith are born of the Holy Spirit,
and thus become children of God.
ESCHATOLOGY
We believe in the bodily return of Jesus, and the bodily resurrection of the dead — of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, and of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment.
